About this course
The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP™) was designed to address the need for installation and maintenance of the EV charging infrastructure in the safest and most cost-effective manner. This four-day program will assist those who install EV equipment to do so with the best practices, including code, safety, and customer service.
Please note! To be eligible to receive certification and 50% training cost subsidy from the Province of BC, you must be a journeyperson electrician and must provide your Red Seal Certificate of Qualification at the time of registration. This subsidy applies to BC residents only.

- Utility interconnect policies and requirements
- Utility grid stress precautions
- Installing, commission and maintaining electrical
- Storage devices
- Charging station fundamentals
- Service level assessments and upgrade implementation
- Canadian Electrical Code requirements
- First Responder safety and fire hazard measures
- Site Surveys
