Wanting to become a Field Safety Representative (FSR)? This course covers the Canadian Electrical Code as amended for the Province of British Columbia, the Safety Standards Act of BC, the Safety Standards General Regulations, the Electrical Safety Regulation and the Directives. All of which, except for the Canadian Electrical Code book, are available on the Technical Safety BC website at www.technicalsafetybc.ca/ and required for the course. It is ideal for electricians specializing in commercial, industrial and high voltage installations. The course and instructor are recognized by the Technical Safety BC. What you will learn
- Interpretation of Code Rules, Use of Tables, Demand Factors, Installation of High Voltage Systems, Wiring and Protection of Transformers, Motors and Capacitors, Fault Current Calculations and the Safety Standards Act and related Regulations.
- This is an accredited course that is designed to meet the needs of those Electricians and Contractors wishing to upgrade their Code knowledge in a formal fashion. It will adequately prepare them to write their ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ Contractors’ or Worker Qualification License.
