Electrical Code Refresher (8 hours)
About this course
This 8-hour, online, instructor-led, course is based on the New BC Electrical Code 2024 (26th Edition) with all the changes.
The course includes interpretations and applications of the code, as well as new definitions and tables.
The Electrical Safety Regulation (section 10.1) requires Class A, B or C Field Safety Representatives (FSRs) to complete 8 hours of continuing education before they can renew their certificate of qualification. FSRs should renew their certification on or before the expiry date listed on their wallet cards. This course will provide Class A, B, or C, FSRs the 8 hours of continuing education required for certificate renewal.
Course Outline
What you will learn
- This course covers the updates to Safety Standards Act, Safety Standards General Regulation, Electrical Safety Regulation and Directives. This course also includes a review of all revisions to the BC Electrical Code based on Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, Twenty-fourth Edition, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations, Canadian Standards Association Standard C22.1-18. This course is required for electricians renewing their FSRs certificates of qualification.
